Virginia Standifer, BCPC

Virginia Standifer was born in Marietta, Georgia to the late Elnora and Will Shaw and is the youngest of three girls. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She has been married to Deacon Roosevelt Standifer Sr., for over 50 years. She is a member of Noonday Missionary Baptist Church where she is an ordained Minister under the leadership of Pastor Jeremy Abernathy.

Although Virginia accepted Christ at an early age, at Cole Street Baptist Church, she really did not fully understand the richness of what God had for her life until she accepted God’s calling to serve in March of 2001 at Sardis Baptist Church. She is a board-certified Christian Pastoral Counselor. She is a certified chaplain and business chaplain through Logos Global Network and the American Chaplains Association.

Virginia retired from Hewlett Packard with twenty plus years in the Human Resources area. She is a certified Human Resources Professional and certified in Team Management work-based assessments. She also retired from MUST Ministries Organization as a Volunteer Coordinator supporting basic needs of individuals, families and children.

Her favorite scripture is “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together.”- Psalm 34:1-3

Minister Standifer is a willing vessel equipped by the power of the Holy Spirit to help people, especially women, who are bound by the cares of this world. Her heart’s desire is to see marriages, families and individuals restored and set free from the bondage of sin. Her motto is “Live each day for God’s purpose”.
