Statement of Faith
At the Georgia Christian Counselors Association, our faith serves as the foundation of our practice, guiding the work we do in supporting individuals, couples, and families on their journey toward healing and wholeness. We affirm the core Christian beliefs regarding the Trinity and the Bible, which shape our approach to counseling, care, and spiritual guidance. While we recognize that individuals may understand and experience God in diverse ways, these foundational truths are central to our mission and convictions. This statement reflects the core values we hold dear as we seek to integrate faith, wisdom, and professional counseling principles to serve those in need.
These are our beliefs regarding the Trinity and the Bible.
While others may understand and experience God in different ways, these are the absolutes he holds dear.
God (The Father)
Was, is, and always will be, the creator of all. He continues to create, for no other being can do as he does. The omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
God loves us even knowing the sins we’ve committed and sins we will commit.
Nothing we do can make him love us any less.
Christ Jesus (The Son)
God’s Son. Came to Earth to model God’s mercy and grace. He died on the cross for the sins of mankind, those that have already been committed and those yet to be. He rose from the grave to allow us to reunite with God, the Father, forever more. When we choose to believe in him, we find a perfect friend who welcomes us with open arms.
Holy Ghost (The Spirit)
God’s Spirit come down to Earth. The Spirit resides in us when we choose to follow Christ Jesus. From the Spirit we can be granted amazing powers and gifts to be more like Christ.
Bible (The Gospel)
The true, reliable and undeniable word of God. Given to us, his children, to guide and advise us.
As representatives of Jesus Christ, we commit to living in a manner that reflects His character, marked by integrity, honesty, and alignment with Biblical truth. We recognize that this commitment involves ongoing spiritual growth, personal responsibility, and accountability.
We affirm the importance of ethical conduct in all areas of life, both personal and professional. This includes a clear commitment to avoid patterns of addictive behavior and to actively pursue health, freedom, and self-control. It also includes a commitment to uphold Biblical standards for relationships and sexuality, which we understand to be expressed within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and to refrain from sexual relationships of any type outside of this framework.
We affirm our agreement with the Code of Ethics established by the Georgia Board for Christian Counselors and commit to adhering to its standards. We also acknowledge our responsibility to provide truthful, accurate, and transparent information in all matters related to our certification and professional practice.
As followers of Christ, we seek to serve with humility, compassion, and faithfulness, desiring that our lives, work, and relationships reflect God’s truth and extend His hope to others.
